Taking Care of Your Jewelry
Have you just fallen for a little piece of jewelry and would like it to stay by your side for as long as possible without losing its shine? To help with that, I’ll share all the tips I give my clients, which I also apply myself.
The first tip is to avoid exposing your jewelry to water too often. It’s important to remember to take off your jewelry when you shower, wash dishes, or swim in a pool or the sea.
Secondly, keep your jewelry away from your perfume or cream. They don’t do your pieces any good.
And thirdly, don’t wear your jewelry during a workout! Jewelry doesn’t love sweat.
Now that you know how to protect your jewelry, here are a few cleaning tips. Our jewelry is gold-plated, not solid gold, which would cost much more. So, avoid using corrosive cleaning methods, as you risk partially removing the gold layer from the piece. Opt for gentle methods: there are small cloths specifically designed to clean gold-plated items. Contact me, and I’ll be happy to send you some!
Another important tip is the storage of your jewelry. Be sure to keep your pieces in a dry place. Avoid leaving them lying around in your bathroom for too long, for example. It’s also better to store them individually in their little pouches to prevent them from rubbing against each other.
One last important point: our jewelry has a base of high-quality 925 silver. The great advantage is that it’s possible to give your piece a second life if the plating fades over time. Awesome, right?
