Travel Through Jewelry – The Inspiration Behind Assaya Jewelry Collections

At Assaya Jewelry, every piece has a story to tell. Each design I create comes from a moment, a detail, or a place that inspired me.
I love to travel and spend time in nature. It’s often in the beauty of the world around me that I find my ideas — the shape of leaves, the form of plants, or the changing colors of the seasons. All of this feeds my creativity.
Today, I invite you behind the scenes of my creations, to discover the places and memories that shaped each piece in my collection.
How a Piece Comes to Life at Assaya Jewelry
Every design starts with a memory, an image that stays in my mind, or a small detail that sparks an idea. It might be a shape I saw on a walk, a mood that reminds me of a trip, or a special moment. I sketch the idea on paper, and slowly, the design begins to take form. Then, with the help of skilled artisans, we bring it to life.
The Casablanca earrings, with their oriental feel, were inspired by the wooden latticework — moucharabieh — in Moroccan palaces I visited. The way they filter light gently made me want to create something delicate that reflects this beauty.
The Tokyo earrings are inspired by the leaves of the Ginkgo tree, a symbol of Japan. I wanted to express the elegance and simplicity of these leaves, bringing the calm of Japanese gardens into a piece of jewelry.
The Buenos Aires necklace honors the city I visited at 12 years old. Its bright light and the warmth of its people inspired me to design a simple, radiant piece full of energy.
Each piece has its own story, and that’s what I love about designing jewelry — every creation is its own journey.
Jewelry Names That Tell a Story
For me, naming a piece is a key part of its identity. It’s never random. Each name reflects the story behind the piece — where it was inspired, or the emotion it brings to me.
Since moving to the United States, new landscapes and energies have inspired me.
The Austin earrings, with their pointed design and sparkling zircon stones, capture the bold spirit of the city. They bring a rebellious edge — just like the Dallas necklace.
The San Francisco bangle was inspired by the city’s ivy-covered hills. Each leaf on the bracelet is hand-polished, bringing elegance and a natural touch to this vermeil piece.

At Assaya Jewelry, every creation is more than just an accessory — it’s an invitation to travel the world through jewelry. Each piece holds memories, emotions, and unique stories.
